Louise Duval is an artist and textile designer. Having trained as a textile designer in South Africa she now works from her studio in Kent, UK.
Designing and weaving creative, sustainable, durable handwoven items for homeware and fashion accessories.
Inspired by colour, yarn, pattern and texture, each item is individually handwoven, so there are likely to be small differences in each one. If you see an item that is out of stock and would like something similar please contact Louise (often yarn comes from different colour batches or becomes discontinued).
Challenged by sourcing recycled and sustainable materials, local yarns are used where possible; such as wool from the Kent Romney Marsh sheep and recycled sari silk yarn.
Louise also now offers introductory weaving lessons on the rigid heddle loom.
Please contact Louise if you would like to discuss a specific weaving project.

Bespoke Weaving
Bespoke handwoven fabrics - working to a commissioning brief I can work with you to create items specific to your requirements.
It may be daunting and difficult to visualise exactly what you are looking for when commissioning a handwoven item.
Together with open communication, the commisioning brief, colour matching, material sourcing and woven samples we can work together to bring your vision to life and create beautiful bespoke handwoven pieces.
HOMEWARES
Bespoke handwoven soft furnishings, cushions, placemats, table runners, throws, wall hangings, lamp shades and decorative items to match your lifestyle.
FASHION ACCESSORIES
Bespoke handwoven scarves, wraps, handbags, handbag straps, camera straps, chokers, bracelets and earings to match and complement your specific style.
COMMISSIONING BRIEF
It is important to have clear and open communication during the entire process of commissioning bespoke weaving.
Colour matching, sourcing of yarns and woven samples are all part of the commissioning brief process.
Materials take time to source and are reliant on supplier lead times.
It is normal for bespoke weaving to take between 3 weeks to 6 months - depending on the size and nature of the project.
Please contact me to arrange an initial meeting to discuss your requirements.
